Dr. Martins has contributed to the development of
several CEPEL software products (see
brief presentation), including:
PacDyn
is a production-grade software package for the analysis and
control of small-signal stability of large power systems.
PacDyn employs state-of-the-art algorithms for the calculation
of eigenvalues, dominant eigenvalues, transfer function zeros,
transfer function residues, linear time response and frequency
response plots, generator synchronizing and damping torques.

HarmZs
is a computer tool based on two new technologies for modeling
electrical networks: the s-domain and the descriptor system
approaches. HarmZs employs modal analysis and state-of-the-art
eigensolution algorithms that allow the harmonic analysis
over the whole complex plane as opposed to conventional harmonic
analysis programs that restrict the analysis to the imaginary
axis. The HarmZs program allows the accurate modeling of distributed
parameter frequency-dependent lines in large scale electrical
networks. By exploiting the power of advanced modal analysis,
it allows the optimal allocation and sizing of shunt capacitor
banks and harmonic filters (single-tuning and double tuning)
for reducing harmonic distortions to acceptable levels http://www.harmzs.cepel.br. |
